Well, here we are again. Feeling all positive and new about the prospects of a new website. The last one was a business site that did no business – and I found that I am certainly not a businessman nor have any wish to be (apparently that is important). The one before was a travel blog that did well but I had a hard time keeping up with large format article-type posts, plus a lot of times that sort of thing sounds quite braggy. It still exists in a simpler format here and I plan to move some of the better articles over. The one before that was scattered and no one remembers except me so we will just let that sleeping dog lay.
With this new start I plan on spending more time sharing the images that I have made along with some choice words to give them context or add to the general mood – some posts will be long travel stories and others just may be a cool poem or scathing rant. In the last year or so I have been taking writing classes and I think it is about time to start sharing some of it with you all as well. I hope each visit to Friend Street Studios gives a little pleasure and a respite from the bombardment of social media and bad news.
